DEAD-BABY-FUZZ - Clone

Yeah, some black comedy, a pedal that’s inside a baby doll, and when you kick the baby – yeah, you get it.
I got this idea in the train when my phone battery died.
Inside the baby is a Dead Astronaut X-Fuzz, a noisy fuzz. The LEDs are placed in the eye, pots on the nipples, jacks in the ears, adapter input above the head, the switch on the belly button and, finally, a toggle switch that you can see as a penis, or as a clitoris, because it’s a girl.
With the toggle switch you can activate some oscillation, because the baby doesn’t like to be assaulted…
The pedal sounds much darker when I sum it up. Isn’t it a great idea to make a creepy pasta with this pedal?

Fender Blender - Clone

Iphone camera's makes everything ugly.

This is part 3 of “recycling enclosures.” It used to be a Box of Rock, now it’s a Fender Blender. The reviews of this pedal call it: “the fuzz pedal with Indie-cred,” so, like the crappy teenage hipster I am, I needed one.
It’s an octave up fuzz with an extra switch that kind of boosts your signal and turns the tone knob to zero. It’s weird and great.
It’s like a box full of “The Jesus And Mary Chain” fuzzy guitar sounds (even though they used a Shin Ei FuzzWah, but didn’t use the wah part of the pedal, only the fuzz....so did they use a Companion Fuzz? The schematics says no, there are more components in the fuzz segment of the FuzzWah than in a Companion. The schematic of the fuzz segment has many similarities with the Fender Blender, but the guitarnerds forums says that the Fender Blender is a bad sound pedal, then you read that they are talking about the reissue Fender did with the Blender a couple of years ago. After reading many comments on the forums you come to a conclusion that you need the original fender blender, who’s worth a fortune....so you build your own Fender Blender and ignore the forums or anyone’s opinion)

Devi Ever Shoegazer - Clone

I didn't use the Supersonic fuzzgun clone at all, so I chose to recycle the enclosure and put a Devi Ever Shoegazer in it.
I built the circuit 4 months ago, but it didn't work. It took 4 passive months to search for the solution, and the solution was a simple diode.
Originally, the Shoegazer consisted of a Soda Meiser and a Torn's Peaker, I didn't like the Torn's Peaker so I used an Hyperion. Both fuzzes are easy to make and they are loud gainmonsters.

Sepukku Space Fuzz - Clone

This is my first Ferric Chloride etched enclosure (along with the Pearl/Vorg Warp, Seamoon Funkmachine and Box of Rock), and it turned out great.
This is a Sepukku Space Fuzz, it really sounds like a Uni-Vox Super Fuzz. I really like the sound of it, but I can create the same effect with my Green Ringer and Fuzzwar, so maybe I’m going to sell this one for cheap.
I've etched an astronaut-cat on the enclosure, because it is a Space Fuzz.

Green Russian Big Muff - Clone

Made a Green Russian Big Muff with a blend function for Joost Bausch. This pedal is made especially for bass guitar; it has a blend and a midcontrol (even tough that’s also handy for guitar). This is one of the best Big Muffs for bass guitar; it has lots of gain, has a bass boost and the bass guitar doesn't fall out of the (band) mix, especially with a blend and midcontrol
With the blend you can bring back your clean signal in the sound and with the midcontrol you can get a boosted or a scooped mid (and of course the ''original'' mid).

DBA Supersonic Fuzzgun - Clone

I wanted to make a Silicon Fuzz Factory, did some research, and I chose the DBA Supersonic Fuzzgun.
When it was done, I didn't know if I liked it or disliked it. This fuzz is in every aspect different than any other fuzz that I owned or build. It is really harsh, shrill and it hasn't any sustain. But I can get those Mudhoney sounds out of it, so I'm satisfied.
Originally the pedal has a toggle switch for activating the oscillation, I chose a footswitch and an extra led.

Resonant Field Effects Acceleron Fuzz - Clone

I had a moment of realization, I only have fuzz pedals that are gainmonsters, so I wanted a ''normal'' fuzz pedal. I first thought about a germanium Fuzz Face, but because I still haven't found (what I'm looking for) a good germanium transistor dealer, I went for a silicon fuzz.
Those silicon Fuzz Faces are kinda boring, so I found a Acceleron Fuzz from Field Effects. If you look at the schematics, it uses some transistors that aren't very common (expect for one MPSA18). It sounded great on YouTube, and the schematic looked interesting, so I built it.
Now it’s one of my favourite fuzz pedals that I own, it's a real dynamic fuzz, it doesn't get mushy like a Big Muff, and it goes from brave to real harsh.
The switch in the centre is for contour, I never really understood contour on amplifiers, but on this pedal it's kinda like compression, I think.
The enclosure is a failed etch from the Seamoon Funkmachine (eventhough that one wasn't a success either), so I've used this enclosure for my own pedals.

Hello Kitty from Hell - Clone

''Life is like a roller coaster, live it, be happy, enjoy live'', with these great magic words we will start this pedal.
I've made this pedal for Laura ''B.B.B.'' Pannekoek in exchange of an old IPhone. Luckily she didn't say what kind of artwork she wanted, so I’ve used my imagination and came up with ''this''.
This pedal is in style of Avril Lavigne, as you can see.
It's a drive-fuzz combo pedal. On the left side we've got a Devi Ever Sodameiser, a thick muff-like fuzz that works great with bass guitar. On the right side we’ve got a DBA Interstellar Overdrive. Most overdrive pedals made for bass are quite big (large schematic), but I needed a small one. I've searched and searched, but when I saw that the bassist of one of my favourite bands (A Place to bury strangers) used an Interstellar Overdrive, I chose that one.
At this point I'm not satisfied with my etching skills, so this will be my last time etching with caustic soda, from now on I will use ferric chloride.

Z.Vex Woolly Mammoth - Clone

Second edition from Merlijn Breedland’s  ''Controversial people with awesome facial hair'', I've made a Z.Vex Woolly Mammoth fuzz.
Originally the Woolly Mammoth is a bass fuzz, but we both liked it more on guitar (especially on crappy guitars).
I could have put it in a smaller enclosure, but then the ''Controversial person'' image would be too small. If you don't recognise him (which is plausible, because sadly the etching didn't turn out great) it's Marc Dutroux ''The Belgian Monster''.
